Photo Finish Records is an independent record label boasting a diverse roster including Alternative Rock, Indie Pop, Electro Pop, and Hip Hop that has amassed billions of streams and over 40 million tracks sold. The NYC based label was created and founded by Matt Galle and 2021 celebrated its fifteenth year of success. Shortly after, Matt decided to bring in his business partner Mike Marquis to co-run the label with him. Mike is currently the COO. Photo Finish is known for developing and breaking an eclectic roster of artists including 3OH!3, SHAED, Marian Hill, MisterWives, ROZES, The Mowgli's, and new signings Mckenna Grace, Elliot Lee, 93FEETOFSMOKE, AVIV, and joan. They are currently distributed through Virgin.
"My vision for starting the label was that I was noticing that when I was working with acts on the agent side they were starting to blow up and I was in there so early there was no label - sometimes no attorney or manager yet - in place," says Galle. "I wanted to take the vision from building acts up in the live space and give them an outlet to release their music with that same synergy and passion behind both. I also really enjoy the creative process from connecting artists with producers, engineers, writers, mixers and potential collaborators. It is very fulfilling seeing something you work on for months, sometimes years, come to life and out in the world for the public to consume."
3OH!3's debut album "Want" is certified Gold with 3 platinum singles and includes collaborations with Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Lil' Jon, Gucci Mane and KE$HA. The label recently celebrated an incredible success story with the band SHAED, which they developed from the ground up. Their song "Trampoline" was the #1 Alternative song on the radio in 2019, and hit highs of #4 Pop, #3 Hot AC, and #1 Dance at radio. The song is Triple Platinum in the US and has reached those heights and beyond internationally, where the remix of the song featuring ZAYN doubled down on its success.
Marian Hill's debut album “Act One” made big waves on 4 radio formats and featured breakthrough Double Platinum hit "Down", which led to the band gracing the stages of major festivals. Misterwives released their first two successful albums with Photo Finish including the Platinum single "Reflections", The Mowgli's Gold single “San Francisco" breached the Top 10 at Alternative radio and became a successful touring act, and The Downtown Fiction scored a Gold single early in the label's existence among other successes.
